The Border Terrier
The Border Terrier originates from the border region of England and Scotland. In the 17th century they were popular among landowners for fox hunting. During a hunt the Border Terrier would enter the fox´s lair in order to chase out the fox. The farmers of the time used them to guard their flocks of sheep. The Border Terrier has a courageous and tenacious character. What is quite striking about the Border Terrier is that its head very much resembles that of an otter.
